The Fortune Society's mission is to support successful re-entry from prison and promote alternatives to incarceration, thus strengthening the fabric of communities. www.fortunesociety.org Make the Road New York Planning study for a capital campaign to build an environmentally certified facility in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Make the Road New York promotes economic justice, equity and opportunity for all New Yorkers through community organizing, policy advocacy, leadership development, education, legal and support services. www.maketheroad.org Manhattan Class Company Planning study for a capital campaign to support a new theater facility on West 53rd Street in Manhattan, featuring two stages. MCC produces three full-scale mainstage productions a year and operates the Playwrights' Coalition for emerging writers and the MCC Theater Youth Company, a free after-school program. www.mcctheater.org Manhattan Country School Study of options for the future of the school and planning and facilitating a board retreat. MCS is a co-educational, independent elementary school based upon principles of social justice and progressive education. It is a leader in multicultural education and its sliding scale tuition system is a national model. www.manhattancountryschool.org Metropolitan New York Library Council A multifaceted assignment that includes foundation grants, corporate sponsorships, a new individual membership program, and board development. METRO, with 270 institutional members representing 1,200 libraries, promotes and facilitates utilization of existing library resources and develops additional library services in the New York metropolitan area. www.metro.org Partnership for Palliative Care Preparation and implementation of a six-year, $45 million campaign to provide support for the work of the leading practitioners and researchers in the field and for development of an ongoing public awareness campaign. Palliative care employs a multi-disciplinary approach to ensure the relief of pain and other symptoms and to support the best quality of life for patients with serious or chronic illness. Pro Bono Partnership Capital campaign feasibility study for the organization that provides corporate counsel and law firm attorney pro bono services to hundreds of nonprofits in Westchester and Putnam counties in New York and throughout much of Connecticut and New Jersey. This is the fourth project Washburn Carmichael has undertaken for the Partnership since 2001. www.probonopartners.org Publicolor After several years providing full-service fundraising and foundation support, Washburn Carmichael continues in an advisory role. Washburn Carmichael evaluated Trevor's potential to raise funds towards the construction of a new facility and renovation of their West Side campus and is now providing guidance on campaign implementation.
